Mr Herbert presented a certificate from the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group to the Brewery owners Nick and Sarah Allen.  Their Amber Eyes ale is being served in the Strangers’ Bar over the next fortnight.

Nick Allen said: “Good News from the Palace of Westminster! Amber Eyes, a real ale from Greyhound Brewery a micro brewery in West Sussex, is going down a treat at the House of Commons Strangers’ Bar, largely due to Nick Herbert our local MP. We are delighted to be supplying light refreshment (and relief ) to Members of the House of Commons and their guests. Great beer in a most important place.”

Mr Herbert said: “There are 650 MPs and over 2,000 breweries in the UK so there’s a lot of competition, and I was very pleased to have helped the Greyhound Brewery get their ale into the House of Commons bar as a guest beer.”
