Mr Herbert met the group of pupils during their ‘People’s Parliament’ tour and workshop.  The children had the opportunity to ask the MP questions and hear about his work in the House of Commons.

The People’s Parliament workshop took place in the Discovery Centre, a dedicated exhibition in the Education Centre in the Palace of Westminster.  The children experienced an immersive 360-degree projection of historic events from Parliament’s past.

Mr Herbert said: “It was a pleasure to welcome the children from Arundel Primary School to Westminster and to hear what they had learned from their visit.  I was delighted to answer their questions, and I hope they continue to take an interest in history and politics.”

Tweeting about the visit, headteacher Andrew Simpon said: “very impressed that our local MP made time to see us today at the Houses of Parliament. Thanks Mr Herbert for looking after us.”
