St Philip Howard pupil designs MP's Christmas card

Arundel & South Downs MP Nick Herbert has chosen a painting by a pupil at St Philip Howard Catholic High School to feature on his Christmas card this year.

Mr Herbert visited the school on Friday (11 December) to judge artwork from a selection created by the students.

The MP chose a painting of Arundel Castle in winter by Hannah Farrant, 17.  The image will be a used on his Christmas card which is posted or e-mailed to thousands of people.

Mr Herbert said: "I was very impressed by the creative talents of the pupils and am very grateful to St Philip Howard school and Headteacher David Carter for agreeing to help me with my Christmas card this year.

“Hannah’s painting of a landmark scene in my constituency of Arundel & South Downs in winter fitted the brief perfectly.”
