Sussex Prairies thank Nick Herbert for new visitor signs

Nick Herbert visited the Sussex Prairie Garden near Henfield last week to celebrate their new official visitor signs.

The Conservative Parliamentary Candidate was welcomed by Paul and Pauline McBride who own and manage the Sussex Prairie Garden on Friday (18 April).

They had written to Mr Herbert, as their MP, to ask for his support in securing the visitor signs from West Sussex County Council in good time for their 2015 open season.

The new brown tourist signs have been installed at either end of Wheatsheaf Road between Henfield and Albourne.  Paul and Pauline are looking forward to welcoming visitors and are getting the garden ready for when they open the gates to the public on the first day of June.

Pauline said: "It was lovely to welcome Nick to our gardens on a beautiful spring day when all the lush new growth was spectacularly bursting forth. 

“Thanks to Nick's help, our new brown visitor attraction signs have been put in place in readiness for the opening of our new season on 1st June 2015.  Brown signs are a super way both to give direction to existing visitors as well as attract passing trade. Finding the best of our Sussex beauty just got a whole lot easier!”

Nick Herbert said: “Sussex Prairie Garden is a beautiful place to visit and I was delighted to help secure their new signs.  It was a pleasure to see the lovely gardens again."
