On Tuesday, Nick will chair an evidence session in Parliament which will examine Public Health England’s Collaborative Tuberculosis Strategy. Nick is co-chair of the APPG on Tuberculosis which launched an inquiry into the Strategy’s implementation in 2017.
In the afternoon, Nick and APPG co-chair, Virendra Sharma MP, will be applying to the Backbench Business Committee for a debate on TB (with the support of around fifty MPs) in advance of the forthcoming UN High Level Meeting in September.
UPDATE: Nick was successful in his bid for this debate, which has been granted for Thursday 7 June - you may be interested to watch a clip of his application here.
Later on Tuesday he will also meet representatives of the Sussex NFU about agricultural policy post-Brexit, and with the Transport minister Jo Johnson, to discuss the recent Hassocks timetable changes.
