AIDS, Carbon Monoxide and Tuberculosis

On Tuesday, Nick will attend a briefing run by the Youth Stop AIDS campaign, to discuss how Parliamentarians can help tackle the disease.  Nick is a member of the APPG on HIV & AIDs.

Following this, he will attend a CO Be Alarmed! event, which campaigns for greater awareness and protection from Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

In the afternoon, Nick will meet with Steve Brine, the Public Health Minister, to discuss tackling tuberculosis - the world's deadliest infectious killer, which claims 1.7 million lives last year - and the threat of anti-microbial resistance.  Nick founded the Global TB Caucus, which has successfully campaigned for a UN High Level Meeting on Tuberculosis which will take place in September.  You can read more about Nick's actions on TB here.
