Meet Nick's Staff



Caroline Ready - Senior Secretary and Caseworker

Caroline is Nick's Senior Secretary and Caseworker - managing correspondence and Nick's diary, and helping constituents with a wide range of issues.

Caroline joined Nick's office in March 2016 and has many years of experience working in the House of Commons. 

Joe Coombes - Parliamentary Assistant

Joe is Nick's Parliamentary Assistant and supports Nick in his role as an MP.

Joe previously worked in a research capacity on the Conservatives IN referendum campaign team, having studied European Politics (MA) and History (BA) at the University of Sussex.


Alexander Black - Parliamentary Assistant

Alexander is Nick’s Parliamentary Assistant and supports Nick in his role as an MP.

Alexander read Modern History (MLitt) at the University of St Andrews, having previously studied at the University of Buckingham and Pembroke College, Oxford.

Alexander also supports the work of the APPG on Sepsis and maintains a keen interest in diplomatic history.


Michelle Taylor - Constituency Researcher

Michelle is Nick's Constituency Researcher, based in Henfield, West Sussex.  Working in the Arundel & South Downs constituency, Michelle is ‘on the ground' to support constituents, schedule surgeries and arrange visits to clubs, schools and businesses.  She accompanies Nick on all of his Friday visits and manages the follow up.

Michelle worked in the City for Reuters for 10 years, and also has experience in marketing and working in outreach recruitment.  She joined Nick's team at the start of 2011.

Michelle has a son who attends a local primary school, and a baby daughter who arrived at the beginning of 2012.
